PVC wood-plastic composite (WPC) formwork is made by adding wood powder to the raw materials. This type of formwork has a relatively low cost. However, the quality of PVC WPC formwork varies greatly in the market. Good quality WPC boards are quite expensive, while inferior ones are more brittle and prone to breakage, generally lasting only 15-20 uses, rarely exceeding 20 uses. However, their nail-holding power is relatively good. PVC plastic steel (PVC-U) formwork, as the name suggests, uses only pure plastic steel and PVC powder as the raw materials. Because it does not contain wood-plastic composites, it has higher hardness and generally a higher number of reuses.

 

Furthermore, PVC formwork can be divided into hollow boards and solid foam boards according to its manufacturing process. Hollow boards are generally more commonly used in special underground parking garages, while solid foam boards have a wider range of applications. However, when choosing PVC plastic steel formwork, it is important to select a reputable manufacturer. If the raw materials contain additives such as calcium powder, it can easily make the boards brittle, affecting the number of reuses.
