The research and development direction of the formwork industry is basically based on the above points, hoping that the composite formwork produced can overcome these factors. However, there is currently no mature technology that can change this situation. Why do so many people still choose to use wooden formwork despite these problems? The only reason is cost; the cost or one-time investment of wooden formwork is much lower than other new formwork types.
Let's estimate based on 10 turnovers. Assuming a formwork cost of 50 yuan per sheet, the cost per turnover is approximately 6 yuan. A 30-story building, with each floor 1,000 square meters, requires about 6,000 sheets, resulting in a one-time formwork investment of approximately 350,000 yuan. However, after the building is completed, the formwork is essentially unusable, with a small residual value, approximately 11.5 yuan per square meter of building area. The total investment is approximately 200,000 yuan in timber, 500,000 yuan in the support system, and 2.9 million yuan in labor, totaling around 3.95 million yuan. Below, we analyze the advantages and disadvantages of new formwork technologies such as combined steel formwork, aluminum alloy formwork, and plastic formwork, which have been promoted by the government in recent years.
